RecoStar
This topic will be for the Denarius Wallet. The wallet is needed for storing your D aka previously DNR coins you earned from either mining/staking or trading. You can download the wallet for your specific OS below and just run the wallet on your machine. Keeping the wallet open all the time on your machine will help support the Denarius Project as well as earn you rewards depending one how many coins your wallet holds by staking. Denarius Windows QT Wallet Download https://github.com/carsenk/denarius/releases Denarius macOS QT Wallet Download https://github.com/carsenk/denarius/releases Denarius Github Source: https://github.com/carsenk/denarius Install Denarius on any Linux OS easily with Snap https://snapcraft.io/denarius sudo apt update sudo apt install snapd snap -y snap install denarius The wallet itself is awesome, having a lot of extra features most wallets don't have. Below is a screenshot of my Denarius (D) Wallet from 2017 when it was called DNR: The wallet currently features: Overview - Shows your current D balance as well as recent transactions. Send Coins - Send coins to a specified address. Receive Coins - Here you will find your D Wallet Address, as well as be able to create multiple more addresses. Transactions - See the coins that have been sent and received from your wallet. Address Book - Stores addresses for future use with labels so you don't forget what is what. Messages - Now this is awesome, you can send encrypted messages from your wallet address to other D wallets address via the blockchain! How cool! Statistics - Shows D current stats on network. Block Explorer - Find D blocks. Market(NEW) - This drags the latest market stats for D for you to calculate how much your D is worth in USD! Best Practices: Now the way the wallet works is that is stores a file (on windows) in "%appdata%\denarius" called "wallet.dat" this file STORES YOUR WALLETS COINS! This file is very important! I find it best practice to back up this file daily if your obtaining a lot of coins. You can back up your "wallet.dat" from with in the wallet itself by doing: File > Backup Wallet.. NEW KRONOS MULTI CRYPTOCURRENCY WALLET: https://github.com/carsenk/kronos https://kronoswallet.com Old Deprecated Web Wallet for Denarius - Use Kronos Wallet ( https://kronoswallet.com ) (deprecated) Carsen is currently working on the Denarius Web Wallet which will be a great addition to the project. Below is sneak peek of the wallet. Thanks, Stu 2 Quote Thanks, Stu - (RecoStar) Denarius Mod
hossagno
Could u tell me how quickly I can stake my coins if I keep my wallet staking for like 12 hours / day? With about 100 coins, just to get an idea if it is worth keeping my PC running to stake when I'm not mining.
RecoStar
Staking your coins at the moment doesn't make you much as we are in PoW stage, but it still makes you a bit of DNR every few hours depending on your network weight. It also helps the network if you have your wallet open. I have my wallet open all the time to help support the network, so more people who have it open the bigger and stronger the DNR Network grows. You can have the wallet open while you mine as well, it wont affect your miner at all 1 Quote Thanks, Stu - (RecoStar) Denarius Mod
hossagno
The problem is I try to make more DNR on exchanges by selling it high and buying it low so it's not in my wallet because indeed the staking didn't seem to make me much extra DNR's. Have not seen anything that said that I had any extra DNR for staking. But with only 100 DNR it wouldn't be much weight anyway I guess? RecoStar
I believe it shows in the wallet transactions as "Mining". You can check you weight by hovering you mouse over the green up arrow in the bottom right of the wallet. It will also tell you when your next reward will come in to the wallet. I have like nearly 800 DNR in my wallet and get 0.0001 DNR every few hours as a staking reward, which isn't much but it still something. This will increase when PoS comes in to play and the 6% is applied. Quote Thanks, Stu - (RecoStar) Denarius Mod
Lord_Arkham
Hi. Â I'm having some troubles with my wallet. I had problems with my laptop yesterday and I had to reboot the system to the day before yesterday. I had my wallet in my computer, but when I was searching for it moments ago I didn't fount it, so I unzipped the file once again and tryed to get to the wallet once again but it shows me and error (as you can see in the capture). I found the folder wixh says in the error, but I don't want to delete it because I don't know if there's a risk of lossing the wallet information and the Denarius that I have collected until now. Â So, there is any way to recover my wallet or something? Â Thank you. Â P.S.: I didn't know if I had to open a new topic for this, so I decided to post it here.
Ghost
You should have your wallet.dat in C:\Users\i5\AppData\Roaming\Denarius, back that file up as it contains your wallet and balance information While you are in that folder, go ahead and delete everything else except for your wallet.dat and denarius.conf file, then open the .exe again, it should load up no problems. 2 Quote Founder of BlockForums.org - PM me for any help - Join our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/UPpQy3n

[email protected]
Ok so I added the above Config file to where you indicated but I am still out of Sync?  I am only getting 1 active connection on the bottom right of the wallet.  Am I doing something wrong?
[email protected]
Guess I spoke too soon... Just started sync'ing network.. Fingers crossed I hope this works...
Minerius
This is normal I guess. In order to have more active connections you can add these Lines in your config file: addnode=yiimp.ccminer.org:33339 addnode=172.93.53.210:33339 But most of all you need to keep your wallet open 24/7 to be fully synced. Alternative solution is to use the NodeJS client side wallet provided in the Official page of Denarius, where you don't need to do anything just automatically start sending and receiving coins, but not staking available for now. Hope this helps!

If you aren't getting connections you'll want to add the list of addnodes above to your denarius.conf file. You can get a fresh list of nodes from coinexchange.io in the DNR listing or other exchange sites. You should see a lot of connections and no issues with syncing after that Quote Founder of BlockForums.org - PM me for any help - Join our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/UPpQy3n

Ghost
@Denarisufreak79Â If you are on Windows you'll want to create a "denarius.conf" file inside of the folder C:/Users/Yourname/AppData/Roaming/Denarius, You can create the file by opening Notepad and saving it as a .txt file and renaming to .conf or just saving it as denarius.conf. You'll want to paste in the addnodes listed above to receive more connections, or you can get a fresh list from the DNR listing on CoinExchange.io or other sites. Denarisufreak79
Ok with the help RecoStar i found out what i did wrong so far. It is still not staking - but i think i have to leave the wallet open and wait a bit longer till the connections are there - and then leave the wallet open. I copied now also all datas to an USB-Stick, for security.
