Many freelancers make between $1-3k monthly depending on the skills they have or services they render. Major freelance platforms like upwork and Fiverr has been consistent in creating an economy of very skilled and talented freelancers but these freelancers have not been able to create an avenue for a system in which there would be a significant change in the way in which people connect, especially for workers and employers in a trusted decentralized platform thereby creating lots of opportunities for people to earn legit money online.
