Disabling System Integrity Protection (SIP) on macOS Big Sur and newer

Recommended Posts

You can disable (SIP) System Integrity Protection on macOS by doing the following:

-Reboot into Recovery Mode by holding down CMD+R

-Open Terminal

-Type to disable SIP

csrutil disable

 

You can use the command below for status information of SIP

csrutil status

or

csrutil enable

 to enable SIP again.
