Thanks Guys :)

Took about 2 days to build (well 5:00pm after work til late in morning lol) and about a week tweaking settings and flashing BIOS's of cards to get everything balanced. Best feeling ever when you get it all sorted and mining away making some good coin :)

Don't have much to show off atm, but my current setup is as follows:

Rig #1: MacPro 1,1 Hackintosh, aka "Nebula". Not much of a miner but it does what it can. ;)

- GPUs: ATI Radeon HD 5770 (now x2, just got another cheap on eBay)

Rig #2: Dell Inspiron 15 5779, aka "Vortex" (yup; a laptop). I run this one upside-down in my basement for better cooling lol.

- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 960M

Rig #3: Desktop build, aka "Photon". This is my all-purpose machine, which I've upgraded over time.

- CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1241 v3

- GPUs: 1x Sapphire Radeon R9 280 Dual-X 3GB, aka the ghost of the R9 family, and 1x EVGA GTX 1060 SC 3GB

So yeah, at most I hit 50 or 60 MH/s with tribus on these machines combined, but hopefully I'll be able to invest in a rig in the near future. We'll see how that goes though, being a college student and all.

Check out my rig - it is pretty slow, but I got it for free from a friend so as soon as I solve my first block, I am in the green!

Edit: Awesome rigs you guys have! I am a bit jelly.

Hahaha awesome :D. Might get a few of these if the hashing power is good!

Thanks,

Sweet build I will post my rig when I get back home!!!

@RecoStar how cool is the rig with and without the fans? Just curious.... would you recommend 12mm or 14mm?

Not tested it without the fans on, but with the fans it doesn't get hotter than 65 degrees. The rig has been running non stop for weeks with no issues. 14mm means more airflow if you have the space for them :)

Very nice. Which Motherboard do you use? ASRock Killer? I'd like to replace my ancient 10 year old Q9450 CPU and 5 GPU Mobo and do some CPU algos besides.

But I can even play a game on my Rig with the worst 970 at 8x PCIe simultanously when mining on the other GPU's. Getting 80 FPS FHD at WoT with max details in HD client for example. CPU overclocked of course.

So I would like to be able to do this as well with newer hardware. Or I stay with the old stuff...

I thought to buy a Raven Ridge soon but there are only 8x PCIe Lanes for GPU's available. So I wait longer... for a Ryzen Mining Board. It has to be AMD CPU at the moment!

Started Mining crypto as a side hobby to learn how it works but then the Denarius project got me hooked... She won't win any beauty contests but it works quite well!

Everyone is concerned with using 'mining motherboards' and I'm using a desktop series Intel board with two 1 to 4 pci-e risers and its rocking away.

Operating System
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

PSU

Seasonic Ultra Prime Titanium 1000W (Using 570w at wall @94% efficiency)

CPU
    Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz
RAM
    8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3
Motherboard
    Intel Corporation DQ67SW (SKTH)
Graphics
     6x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (MSI)

Storage
465GB TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050 ATA Device (SATA)
