  1. "so you should have gotten (at least some) of the coins back"  Thanks for letting us know, good work! But the balance before I guit hashbag.cc was more than 20 DNR and today I just received from an external address 0.03 DNR. Really hope everything's up and running without any problems, for new members to join in your pool. Good luck!
  2. We are all waiting for the wallet version of DNR which is going to have the option convert into BTC , via ShapeShift or changelly.com . That would be awesome! This version has many improvements , good job Carsen! Keep up the hard work!
  3. Depends on your hardware. If you have many GPUs then go solo. I put one rig of mine, which hashes at 140Mh/s , to solo mine and it does great. 3-4 blocks / day . Which is the same amount of DNRs or more than pool mining with my hashrate. My previous bad experience with hashbag.cc with stolen coins, kept me away from this. I don't know about other pools.
  4. "giving them a crypto alternative to use (that just so happens to sound like "Dinero") could quite literally liberate them, no?"  And how exactly can we make the Venezuela's government accept DNR as an alternative currency? Except you know Maduro, then we are set to go mate haha Trust me, crypto inflation can be more than a fiat currency's one. This game is a full gamble, you can invest in something that can make you millionaire in short term, but with the same possibilities you can get broke from this.  " If they are mining it to use as currency, rather than mining it to turn into another currency, the value will only increase surely?"  No, the price only increases if a currency, metal, etc has more buy orders than sell orders in Exchanges (ONLY). I'm a miner, imagine that I give you the mined DNRs and you give me silver . The pair Denarius/Silver (and reverse) remains untouched, since this trade is between us (or between everyday people). The key here is the Exchanges , which are the ones setting the price. All Venezuela's citizens are not miners, so what is going to happen to those who don't mine it? They need to get DNRs somehow. Here there are two options: a) buy DNR from a miner or b) buy DNR from an Exchange. In a) the price remains unchanged , while in b) the price will go to moon (supposing the 90% of the citizens go to Exchanges and buy DNR to use it as their main currency). That's how the value will only increase surely.  It's very early for the Community to think of ways to tell president Maduro about DNR (haha), for now just mine it and hold it, because sooner or later due to its low total supply one DNR may have a fair enough value , regarding its features.
  5. As hossagno said above, don't pay much attention to what they have in the table. That's why they have this message in the top "Please note that calculations are based on mean values, therefore your final results may vary." Mine it for 24 hours and check yourself how many coins you can mine with your GPUs.
  6. Have a try with sgminer 4.1.0
  7. Yeah, this means all the computers from the network 192.168.254. are allowed to join your private pool.
  8. Can you access http://192.168.254.11:32339 through a browser from another computer in the network? From your config file I can see this line has a "bug"  Rpcallowip = 192.168.254.11  change to allow all the subnet like: Rpcallowip = 192.168.254.*
  9. Hi Marcus, first of all add some more nodes in the config file: Â addnode=104.233.106.135:33339 addnode=109.205.244.150:33339 addnode=115.207.158.4:33339 addnode=130.255.12.2:33339 addnode=142.105.20.251:33339 addnode=147.135.191.162:33339 addnode=159.118.167.26:33339 addnode=163.172.4.66:33339 addnode=167.114.103.43:33339 addnode=172.93.53.210:33339 addnode=173.150.158.71:33339 addnode=189.186.121.70:33339 addnode=192.3.196.202:33339 addnode=200.92.17.152:33339 addnode=36.81.2.210:33339 addnode=37.146.173.97:33339 addnode=49.169.43.77:33339 addnode=5.9.112.62:33339 addnode=73.135.197.253:33339 addnode=75.174.67.156:33339 addnode=77.38.55.82:33339 addnode=82.114.227.101:33339 addnode=82.114.227.188:33339 addnode=82.114.234.204:33339 addnode=82.114.238.71:33339 addnode=82.114.251.198:33339 addnode=85.108.170.179:33339 addnode=88.254.45.178:33339 addnode=91.77.206.228:33339 addnode=94.250.129.128:33339 Â Have you tried solo mining, by replacing your local ip with 127.0.0.1(localhost) ? Â Sgminer.exe --kernel tribus -o http://127.0.0.1:32339 -u DNR -p x
  10. @Vlado It's a bit complicated, since in order to do this, you need to provide an Exchange website, where the sells and buys will have an impact in the price. Otherwise just selling and buying coins for USD/EUR etc is only to help other new users in DNR , but the price is going to be fixed by others. What I'm trying to say is , that I can provide you a x amount of DNRs for bucks or euro and I will be glad to help you , but I would prefer helping you and at the same time after a buy the price to climb from 0.391$ to 0.397$
  11. You can clearly see, that John missed the train and wants no other to get in. Haha I'm joking, as Carsen said above the .exe file is clean. You can run a virustotal scan or even analyze it's code with OllyDbg as I did. Then you can see yourself there is nothing suspicious in there.
  12. Hi and welcome to the community. No one can predict the future, but I know one thing for sure. The more features a coin has the more possible to survive into the time. So far I like the fast transactions in the DNR network , the active community (even if we are under a bot attack lately). The price of the coin dropped from 1,1$ to 0.3$ . In my opinion this is because the users see it as a pump and dump coin than a coin with its features.  The thing got my attention was the total supply , which is low. Small number of total coins means that the coin is valuable. I cannot answer to your last questions, since I'm not the founder. Whatever happens, I will still mine, buy, stake and hodl my DNRs.
  13. Above the command sgminer.exe ...... in your bat file add these Lines: Â setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 Â I believe sgminer do this automatically, but you never know. Try it and let us know!
  14. Make sure you have already done the following : 1) Download the latest AMD drivers, or the latest ones compatible with your r9. 2) I had similar problems with sgminer 5.3.8, try using sgminer 4.1.0 ( https://github.com/carsenk/sph-sgminer-tribus/releases/download/1.0-tribus/sph-sgminer-tribus.zip ). That solved my problem. 3) I don't know if the post shows like that your batch file Lines, but the pause command is in a NEW Line to mine, like this:  sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.hashbag.cc:8688 -u <wallet account> -p x pause  Hope this helps, waiting for your reply!
  15. This is normal I guess. In order to have more active connections you can add these Lines in your config file: addnode=yiimp.ccminer.org:33339 addnode=172.93.53.210:33339 But most of all you need to keep your wallet open 24/7 to be fully synced. Alternative solution is to use the NodeJS client side wallet provided in the Official page of Denarius, where you don't need to do anything just automatically start sending and receiving coins, but not staking available for now. Hope this helps!
